Police in San Francisco were investigating a stabbing that took place near the city’s Tenderloin neighborhood this afternoon.
Officers responded to reports of a fight between two men in the 1000 block of Geary Boulevard near Polk Street at about 5 p.m., according to police.
Arriving officers found one man suffering a stab wound to the abdomen, police said.
The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital in unknown condition.
There was no immediate information about the suspect, and a motive for the fight had not been determined.
