Police Activity Briefly Closes Lanes Of 280 Monday Night

Two right lanes of northbound Highway 280 at Cesar Chavez Street in San Francisco have reopened after police activity late Monday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

San Francisco police arrested at least one person driving on the ramp in connection to an earlier shooting on Gilman Avenue and Jennings Street around 9:50 p.m. Monday, a police dispatcher said.

The lanes were closed for about an hour and reopened around 12:35 a.m., according to the CHP.

The northbound Interstate Highway 280 connector ramp to southbound U.S. Highway 101 in San Francisco was also closed around 11:35 p.m. Monday for about half an hour due to the police activity, CHP Officer Peter Van Eckhardt said.
