Suspect In Custody After Man Is Killed Over Playstation 4

12:43 PM: A suspect is in custody in connection with the killing of a man who was trying to sell a PlayStation 4 in San Francisco on Sunday, a police spokeswoman said today.

Police are not yet releasing details about the suspect, who is believed to have shot 22-year-old Ikenna Uwakah at about 3:30 p.m. Sunday, police spokeswoman Sgt. Danielle Newman said.

Police said Uwakah, a Daly City resident, had arranged online to meet the suspect and sell him the gaming console, but the suspect stole it and shot Uwakah while he was still in his car.

Uwakah was driven away from the scene of the shooting, which occurred near Mendell Street and Galvez Avenue in the city’s Bayview District, to an area near Bayshore Boulevard and Jerrold Avenue, where he was found by officers, said Lt. Tim Plyer from the Police Department’s homicide detail.

He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital and died there a short time later, police said.

Before the arrest, police had described the suspect as a man in his 20s or 30s.
