Man Stabbed Over Jacket

A man was stabbed in the back and leg on Christmas morning in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, police said.

The stabbing was reported around 8:30 a.m. in the 100 block of Taylor Street, which is near Turk, police said.

A 52-year-old man was approached by another man who demanded the victim’s jacket. When the victim walked away, the suspect stabbed him in the back with a knife, according to police.

The victim fell to the ground and the suspect then stabbed him in the leg, police said.

The suspect, believed to be in his 40s, then fled and had not been found as of this morning.

The victim is expected to survive, police said.
