Appealing Events: The Growlers Play the Independent

No matter the nonsense of an SF winter, the Growlers are here to remind you of sunnier times. The Orange County band waxes psychedelic with tinges of folk, and choice tracks “Hiding Under Covers” and the echo chamber croons wafting through “Ego of Man” leave the Growlers begging to be heard.

Their anachronistic style of recording makes for a wholly unpredictable live show. Those eager to hear even more from the band, who released their Gilded Pleasures EP just last month, need only wait ’til the weekend, as the Growlers hit the Independent this Friday and Saturday.
