Kid Who Was Struck By Car Expected To Survive

A 12-year-old child who was struck by a car in San Francisco’s Bayview District on Sunday afternoon is expected to survive, a police spokeswoman said today.

The collision occurred near Third Street and Gilman Avenue at about 1 p.m. Sunday, police spokesman Sgt. Danielle Newman said.

The child was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, Newman said.

Police have not yet released additional details on the incident.
