Investigators are trying to identify a man who robbed a bank in San Francisco on Monday afternoon, a police spokesman said today.
The robbery was reported at about 1:35 p.m. in the 100 block of Spear Street, between Mission and Howard streets.
The man entered the bank, approached a female teller and demanded money, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
He was handed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled. He had not been found as of this morning, Esparza said.
The suspect was described as a black man between 50 and 55 years old who is about 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs about 190 pounds and was last seen wearing a light-blue baseball cap with a white “T” on it, sunglasses, a blue denim coat, light-blue jeans and white shoes with black soles, Esparza said.
No weapon was seen during the robbery, according to Esparza.
