Man Carjacked While Delivering Sunday Newspapers

A man delivering newspapers in San Francisco’s Excelsior District early Sunday morning had his car stolen by a man claiming to have a gun, police said today.

The carjacking was reported at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Moscow Street. The 41-year-old victim had gotten out of his car but left the vehicle running, police said.

The suspect approached, said he had a gun, then got into the car and drove off despite the victim’s efforts to stop him, according to police.

The suspect, described as a man around 40 years old, had not been found as of this morning, police said.
