One person was shot and injured in San Francisco’s Mission District this afternoon, according to police.
The victim was standing on the corner of 15th and Guerrero streets shortly before 4:30 p.m. when a vehicle pulled up to the corner, police spokesman Officer Carlos Manfredi said.
Two suspects jumped out of the vehicle and one shot the victim, striking him once, Manfredi said. The two then got back into their car and drove away, traveling north on Guerrero.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
No suspect description was available, but their vehicle was described as possibly a four-door SUV, Manfredi said.
The gang task force is handling the investigation, but Manfredi noted that a motive for the shooting has not yet been established. Investigators are looking for any surveillance or other video cameras that might have captured the incident and interviewing witnesses.
