Police Investigating Armed Robbery In City College Of San Francisco Bathroom

Police are investigating a robbery that occurred in a restroom at City College of San Francisco’s Ocean campus on Saturday.

A crime alert issued to students and staff stated that the robbery happened at 11:18 a.m. in the men’s restroom at the Wellness Center on the campus, located at 50 Phelan Ave.

The victims were approached by two suspects who asked if they had drugs for sale and the victims said they don’t sell drugs. One suspect then pulled out a silver semi-automatic handgun and ordered them to hand over their cash and cellphones, campus police said.

The victims gave their belongings to the suspects, who fled after telling the victims, “Wait five minutes before you leave the bathroom or I’ll kill you,” police said.

The suspect with the gun was described as a black man between 25 and 30 years old who is about 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs about 170 pounds and has short black hair, brown eyes and medium complexion.

He was wearing a gray hoodie with gray sweatpants and had a silver-colored grill in his mouth, according to police.

The second suspect was described as a black man between 25 and 30 years old who is about 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160 pounds, and had shoulder-length dreadlocks. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a medium-length black jacket and blue jeans, police said.

The robbery is the second frightening incident at the Wellness Center in the past month.

On March 9, a man grabbed a woman in a shower stall in the women’s locker room but she was able to escape his grasp. The man fled and has not been found, according to police.

Anyone with information about either case is asked to call CCSF police at (415) 239-3200.
