Cole Valley Mugger To Victim: “You have 10 seconds before I shoot”

A woman was robbed at gunpoint in San Francisco’s Cole Valley neighborhood on Friday afternoon, police said today.

The robbery was reported at 4:54 p.m. Friday near Cole and Carmel streets.

The 43-year-old victim was approached from behind by a suspect who ordered her to hand over her belongings and then put a black handgun to her side and said, “You have 10 seconds before I shoot,” police said.

The victim handed over a backpack and iPhone to the suspect, who ran to a vehicle and drove off, heading north on Stanyan Street, according to police.

The suspect was described as a man between 25 and 30 years old who was driving a newer-model Ford with paper plates, police said.

Anyone with information about the robbery is encouraged to call the Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.

Hey, that’s genderist, ageist and anti-Ford. It should read, “The suspect was described as a person, any further description expresses prejudice.
