"Meet" The SF Zoo's Baby Tiger This Weekend

According to the SF Zoo’s Facebook page, “this weekend the Lion House will be open from 1-3pm to allow our 5-week-old Sumatran tiger cub limited exposure to the public for socialization.” Look at that little one!

Sumatran tiger father and mother Larry and Leanne, both of the SF Zoo, welcomed The cub on February 10.

The Zoo’s open from 10-5 every day. Ticket and other info is available here.

You might want to get there early because, according to the Chron, “zookeepers could close the exhibit early if the tiger cub or her mother get overwhelmed.” You won’t like those tigers when they’re overwhelmed.

“Please follow the instructions of keepers and docents,” the Zoo says, “to ensure Leanne and her cub remain undisturbed in their environment.”
