Sixth Street in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood was partially shut down this morning as police investigated a collision involving a pedestrian.
The incident was reported at 7:29 a.m., a fire dispatcher said.
As of 8:35 a.m., the southbound lanes on Sixth Street were still closed between Harrison and Bryant streets.
San Francisco police Sgt. Danny Miller said a male pedestrian walked into traffic and was struck.
He said the collision was at a relatively low speed and that the pedestrian’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Miller said the lanes were expected to reopen shortly.
