Two separate bank robberies were reported in San Francisco on Thursday. Police do not know whether the two cases were related.
The first robbery was reported at about 9:05 a.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Market Street, which is near 9th Street.
The suspect, described as a man in his mid 30s, entered the bank and handed a teller a note demanding money. The teller complied, handing over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect who then fled, police said.
At about 6:10 p.m., another robbery was reported less than a mile away in the 200 block of Valencia Street, which is near Duboce.
The suspect in this case, described as a man between 30 and 35 years old, also handed a teller a note demanding money, according to police.
The teller handed over cash to the suspect, who fled and had not been found as of this morning, police said.
No one was injured in either robbery.
