muni_generic.jpgA man was struck by a car after getting off a San Francisco Municipal Railway train in the city’s Sunset District this morning, Muni and fire officials said.

The man was hit around 8 a.m. at 19th Avenue and Taraval Street.

He had just exited an L-Taraval train when he was struck, Muni spokesman Paul Rose said.

The man was taken to a hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, fire spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

Muni service was disrupted on the L-Taraval line for about 45 minutes because of the incident, Rose said. He said bus shuttles took passengers between 19th Avenue and West Portal until the scene was cleared at about 8:45 a.m.
