policeblotter_sfa.jpgA 25-year-old man was arrested after allegedly hitting another man in the head with a baseball bat during an altercation in San Francisco’s Chinatown neighborhood late Wednesday night, a police spokesman said today.

Nicholas Vrataro was arrested after the attack, which was reported at 11:20 p.m. in the 1100 block of Stockton Street, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.

The confrontation was apparently prompted by a dispute over a guest at a residential building there, Esparza said.

The 47-year-old victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his head injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, according to Esparza.

A second victim was pepper-sprayed during the incident, he said.

Officers responded and arrested Vrataro on suspicion of two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, Esparza said.
