bart_generic.jpgBecause BART would hate to leave you in the dark on these matters, they’d like you to know that you can expect some delays on Saturday and Sunday mornings for the rest of 2012.

According to BART, they’ll be making critical emergency power supply improvements in the Transbay Tube the rest of November and December, which requires the closure of one track.

Work will occur during the first two hours of operation on both Saturdays and Sundays. BART begins service at 6 AM on Saturdays, and at 8 AM on Sundays.

Riders during those hours can expect 10-15 minute delays as they travel between the Embarcadero and West Oakland stations.

“The work required takes more time than our regular overnight maintenance window allows and is taking longer than originally expected,” says BART. “We have chosen this time in an effort to cause the least inconvenience to our customers.”
