shooting_nighttime.jpgA man was shot in the foot in San Francisco’s Mission District on Wednesday night, police said today.

The shooting was reported at about 9:55 p.m. in the 2800 block of Mission Street, which is near 24th Street.

The 27-year-old victim was driven to San Francisco General Hospital by a friend to be treated for his wound, which is not considered life-threatening, according to police.

The shooting was one of two that occurred within hours and blocks of each other in the Mission District on Wednesday.

Cesar Bermudez, 19, was killed and another man injured in a shooting reported shortly before 6:20 p.m. in the 2800 block of Harrison Street.

No arrests have been made in either case.
