Oracle Open World will occur at the Moscone Center from Saturday, Sept. 29 through Wednesday, Oct. 3. An attendance of 45,000 is expected. During this time, the Java One conference will be held at the Parc 55, San Francisco Hilton and the Hotel Nikko.

The following street closures will be required to accommodate this event:

?? 8 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 27 through 1 p.m., Friday, Oct. 5 Howard Street between 3rd and 4th streets

?? 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 27 through 10 a.m., Friday, Oct. 5 Taylor Street between O’Farrell and Ellis streets

Significant traffic congestion is anticipated in and around Moscone Center between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m. daily for the duration of the closure. Travelers are encouraged to take public transit or use alternate routes. There will be heavy pedestrian traffic in the area.

Howard Street traffic will be detoured either via 2nd Street to Harrison Street or via New Montgomery Street to Hawthorne Street, then to either Folsom or Harrison streets.

Taylor Street traffic will be detoured west on Geary Boulevard to north on Leavenworth Street to east on Post Street and back to Taylor Street.

Signage will be placed in advance of the street closures and detour routes.

Caltrans will activate message signs on major freeways entering the City to notify motorists of the closures.

SFMTA Parking Control Officers and San Francisco Police Officers will be deployed at key intersections throughout the closures.

Critical Mass 20th Anniversary
On Friday at 6 p.m., the Critical Mass bicycle rides will begin at Justin Herman Plaza. There will be heavy traffic in the area. Motorists are advised to allow extra travel time.

Walk to End Alzheimer’s
On Saturday the three-mile Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place in Mission Creek Park. Check-in starts at 8 a.m. and the walk begins at 9:30 a.m.

The following street closures will be required:

From 5 a.m. to 3 p.m.:
Channel Street between 3rd and 5th streets

From 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.:
Parking lane and one traffic lane on northbound Embarcadero between Townsend and Folsom streets

Local access will be allowed during the street closure.

No Muni lines or routes will be affected.

Polk Street Blues Festival
On Saturday and Sunday the annual Polk Street Blues Festival will be held on Polk Street between Jackson and California streets from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Polk Street between Jackson and California streets will be closed from 12 a.m., Saturday until midnight, Sunday.

All intersections will be open to cross traffic.

19 Polk Muni route will be affected.

Party on Block 18
On Saturday the third bi-annual “Party on Block 18” will take place on 18th Street between Dolores and Guerrero streets from noon to 5 p.m.

The following street closures will be required from 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.:

18th Street between Dolores and Guerrero streets
Oakwood Street between 18th and 19th streets

33 Stanyan Muni route will be affected.

Blessing of the Fishing Fleet
On Sunday the annual Blessing of the Fishing Fleet will begin with a procession at 2 p.m. from Saint Peter and Paul’s Church on Washington Square. The procession will proceed to Jefferson Street between Jones and Taylor streets via Columbus Avenue and Leavenworth Street for the blessing celebration at approximately 3 p.m.

The following street closures will be required:

8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
?? Filbert Street between Stockton and Powell streets

11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
?? Jefferson Street between Jones to Taylor streets

The following Muni lines and routes will be affected:

?? Powell-Mason Cable Car
?? F Market
?? 8X Bayshore Express
?? 30 Stockton
?? 39 Coit

Bridge to Bridge Run

On Sunday the Bridge to Bridge Run will begin at 9 a.m. from the Ferry Building. Both 7K and 10K courses will go north along The Embarcadero through Fisherman’s Wharf , up into Fort Mason and to Crissy Field. The 10K course will continue from Crissy Field to Golden Gate Promenade, then to Fort Point where it will turn back and finish at Crissy Fields.

The following street closures will be required:

8:15 – 9:30 a.m.
?? The Embarcadero (northbound) from Mission Street to Washington Street
?? The Embarcadero (northbound) from Washington Street to Jefferson Street

8:30 – 11 a.m.
?? Lincoln Boulevard from Halleck Avenue and Graham Street in the Presidio

9 – 10 a.m.
?? Jefferson Street from Embarcadero to Hyde Street, Hyde Street from Jefferson Street to Beach Street, North Point from Polk Street to Van Ness Avenue

9 – 10:15 a.m.
?? Van Ness Avenue from North Point to the Municipal Pier

9 – 10:30 a.m.
?? Beach Street (westbound only) from Laguna Street to Buchanan Street, Marina Boulevard (most northern lane only) from Buchanan to the Marina Gate

Traffic will be re-routed around the run.
