sfpd_arrestcuffs.jpgA man was arrested Thursday in connection with a fatal shooting in San Francisco’s Lower Pacific Heights neighborhood last weekend, police said today.

Keith Smith, 23, was arrested on suspicion of murder for the killing of 38-year-old Jonathan Bullock, who was found shot at about 4:20 a.m. Saturday in the 1500 block of Broderick Street, according to police.

Bullock had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:12 p.m. Sunday, police said.

Two suspects were seen fleeing the area after the shooting. Homicide investigators eventually developed information that led to Smith, who was arrested around 5 p.m. Thursday near 19th and Alabama streets in the city’s Mission District, police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said.

Shyy said information about a possible second suspect was not immediately available today.

Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call Sgt. Kyra Delaney or Inspector Kevin Jones with the department’s homicide detail at (415) 553-1145.

People wishing to remain anonymous can also call a tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411 and start the message with SFPD.
