muni_generic.jpgSan Francisco Municipal Railway customers have an opportunity to say what they think of the transit system in a survey announced by agency officials Wednesday.

The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, which oversees Muni, is asking for the public’s help in highlighting what areas of the system need improvement via an online customer satisfaction survey.

The survey, available at www.sfmta.com/survey, asks customers to rank Muni on a variety of qualities, from safe operation of vehicles and reliability of the service to the cleanliness of the vehicles and stations.

It also asks questions about bicycle and pedestrian safety on the San Francisco’s streets and taxi service in the city.

“Whether you live, work or spend time in San Francisco, your opinion matters,” Ed Reiskin, SFMTA director of transportation, said in a statement.

“We want to hear from you to realize the city’s transit first policy and create a more reliable transit system, better bicycle and walking conditions, easier access to taxis, and more convenient and sustainable transportation options,” Reiskin said.

Results from the survey will be posted on the SFMTA website later this year, according to the agency.
