pg&e_blackout(2).jpgPG&E crews have restored electricity to thousands of customers who lost power in San Francisco for more than two hours Thursday night.

Power was restored by 11:30 p.m. to about 2,000 of the 10,254 customers in San Francisco who first lost power at 8:56 p.m., PG&E spokesman Jana Morris said.

At least 8,000 of those customers had their power restored within two hours, Morris said.

The outage affected residents, businesses and motorists in the Western Addition, Eureka Valley, Haight-Ashbury and Laurel Heights neighborhoods.

Morris said the cause of the outage has yet to be determined and remains under investigation.
