shooting_nighttime.jpgA 61-year-old man was critically injured in a shooting in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood on Wednesday evening, police said today.

The shooting was reported at 6:37 p.m. in the 300 block of Hyde Street, which is near Eddy.

The victim was standing on the sidewalk when he heard several gunshots, then realized he had been shot in the leg, according to police.

He saw three suspects, men believed to be in their 20s or 30s, running away and getting into a dark-colored SUV, police said.

The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are considered life-threatening, according to police.
