6:50 AM: Sporadic lane closures on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge could last until 10:30 a.m. today as officers investigate a shooting incident there, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP first responded to the incident on the lower deck of the Bay Bridge at around 2 a.m. and closed all lanes headed to Oakland for about 15 minutes.

Three lanes were opened for several hours after that, but were closed again briefly around 4:30 a.m. and CHP has been sporadically opening and closing lanes since then.

San Francisco police recently took over the investigation, according to CHP. The bridge may not fully reopen until 10:30 a.m.
