police-light-bar1.jpgA motorcyclist was killed and his passenger was critically injured in a collision with another vehicle in San Francisco’s Richmond District on Sunday evening, police said today.

The crash was reported at 6:41 p.m. at Fulton Street and 30th Avenue.

The motorcycle was traveling west on Fulton Street and entered the intersection, where it struck a gray Audi traveling south on 30th Avenue, police said.

The man driving the motorcycle, identified by the medical examiner’s office as 39-year-old San Francisco resident Jeffrey Davis, was pinned under the Audi, and was later taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to police.

His passenger, a 41-year-old woman, was ejected in the crash and was also transported to the hospital, where she remains this afternoon with life-threatening injuries, police spokesman Sgt. Mike Andraychak said.

No one in the Audi was hurt, Andraychak said.

He said investigators are still trying to determine which driver caused the crash.

No arrests had been made nor citations issued as of this afternoon, and alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash, he said.
