A man struck and killed by a large truck in San Francisco’s South of Market neighborhood on Thursday afternoon has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as 47-year-old Sena Putra.

The accident was reported shortly before 1 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of 13th and Folsom streets, according to police.

The truck was traveling east on Folsom and was making a right turn onto 13th Street when it struck Putra, an Oakland resident, police said.

The truck driver stopped at the scene and is cooperating with investigators.

The circumstances of the collision, including whether Putra was in a crosswalk, remain under investigation, according to police.
