A man who suffered life-threatening injuries in a shooting in San Francisco’s Potrero Hill neighborhood early Sunday morning has died of his injuries.

The shooting was reported at 3:14 a.m. Sunday at the intersection of Missouri Street and Turner Terrace, near the Potrero Hill Playground.

The 23-year-old victim and his friends were dropping someone off when they heard gunshots, according to police.

The driver of the car made a U-turn to get out of the area when the suspect fired another shot, which shattered the rear window and struck the victim, police said.

The victim was driven to a hospital, according to police. According to the Ex, he died there Tuesday morning. His name has yet to be released by the Medical Examiner’s office.

No arrests have been made in this shooting, nor has suspect information been made available by SFPD.

This is San Francisco’s 20th homicide of 2012.
