fire.5.6.2.jpgAs previously reported, just this past Sunday a four-alarm fire blazed through a Mission district apartment building just before 10am, leaving dozens of residents displaced.

Now, as Michael Petrelis reports, the San Francisco Friends School will be hosting a community meeting on the fire this Thursday, May 10th from 5 PM-6PM in their meeting room at 250 Valencia Street.

A Red Cross representative will be present to answer questions at the meeting and the Friends School has also partnered with the Red Cross for an item drive for displaced families. Now through Friday, May 11th, drop by the Friends School lobby between 8 AM to 6 PM and donate any clothing, blankets, or toiletries.

Checks can also be dropped off, made out to the Red Cross with “Duboce/Valencia fire” in the memo.
