A man was critically injured in a stabbing at a bus stop on San Francisco’s Mission Street on Saturday night, police said.
The stabbing was reported around 9:15 p.m. near the intersection of Mission Street and Brazil Avenue in the city’s Excelsior District.
The 22-year-old victim was at a bus stop with his girlfriend when a suspect approached and asked him if he was affiliated with a gang, according to police.
The victim said he was not, but the suspect pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the torso, then fled, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are considered life-threatening.
The suspect, believed to be in his late teens, had not been found as of this morning, according to police.
