policeblotter_sfa.jpgA man had his car stolen by two suspects who punched him and bit his hand in San Francisco’s Silver Terrace neighborhood early Sunday morning, police said.

The carjacking was reported around 2 a.m. Sunday in the first block of Topeka Avenue.
The 23-year-old victim had parked his 2011 Toyota RAV4 and was walking to his house when two suspects approached, according to police.

One of the suspects punched the man in the face twice and tried to snatch the car keys from his hand. The victim held onto the keys, but the suspect then bit his fingers, causing him to let go of the keys, police said.

The second suspect then snatched the cellphone from the victim’s other hand, and the pair got into the victim’s Toyota and drove away. They were last seen driving north on Topeka Avenue, then west onto Silver Avenue, according to police.

The victim suffered minor injuries to his hand and face but declined medical treatment, police said.

Officers searched for the suspects, two men believed to be in their 20s, but had not found them or the victim’s vehicle as of this afternoon.
