I’m sure there’s a Shit Someone Says video out there you haven’t seen yet, but why not skip it and watch this surprisingly moving It Gets Better video from the SFPD?
Featuring a cast of SFPD officers including fave of local reporters Commander Lyn Tomioka, it opens with SFPD chief Greg Suhr, who says “it does get better, and until it does, we here in the San Francisco police department are going to stick up for you.”
According to a release sent by the SFPD, “the SFPD is the first and only Police Department in the country to produce a video for the campaign.”
San Francisco film maker Shawn Northcutt produced and edited the video, and San Francisco local musician Lynden Bair scored it, SFPD said.
“San Francisco is a city that prides itself on embracing equality for all and this video is another great example of our commitment to reinforcing our City’s values,” Mayor Ed Lee said in a statement.
