muni_generic.jpgThis Sunday at 4:30am through Monday at 4:30am, the SFMTA will be hard at work installing a new track switch on the L Taraval Line between 35th and 36th Ave, with a majority of the work being done Sunday from 8am to 8pm. The construction will result in a lane closure, the removal of a few parking spaces, and some public transit disruptions.

In terms of Muni impact, from 4:30am Sunday to 4:30am Monday service on the L Taraval will be disrupted. The last westbound stop on the Muni train itself will be at 23rd Ave, where patrons will need to exit and head to Wawona St, between 46th and 47th Ave. to get to the bus shuttle. The bus shuttle will operate between 22nd Ave. and Zoo Loop, and will service all L Owl stops as well. Customers treveling eastbound will need to transfer from the bus to a train at 22nd Ave. SFMTA Ambassadors will also be in the area to provide customer service.

From Sunday at 8am and continuing through Wednesday, January 18th, some westbound lanes on Taraval between 35th and 36th Ave will be closed. There will also be parking restrictions on 36th Ave, north of Taraval St, as that stretch of street will be required for staging materials from 7am today until 8am Tuesday, January 17th. Parking restrictions will be enforced from 7am Sunday to 7pm Tuesday.
