police-light-bar1.jpgA woman was critically injured in a stabbing in San Francisco’s Bayview District early Sunday, police said today.

The stabbing was reported around 1 a.m. Sunday near Third Street and Galvez Avenue.

The 32-year-old victim was approached by another woman and a fight ensued, according to police.

During the altercation, the victim was stabbed in the arms and chest. She was taken by friends to San Francisco General Hospital, where she remained with life-threatening injuries today, police said.

The suspect, a woman in her 30s, fled after the stabbing and remains at large.
