The American Red Cross is assisting 14 people who were displaced by a fire at 350 Ellis St. Saturday night, a spokesman said today.
The fire in the apartment building was reported at 5:20 p.m., according to fire dispatchers.
Around 200 people were displaced initially, but most were allowed to return after the fire was brought under control.
Seven people were transported to the hospital for injuries as a result of the fire.
The fire was the first of two in San Francisco Saturday night.
Red Cross spokesman Jim Mallory said that the nonprofit was not assisting any displaced residents from a three-alarm fire at 1368 Utah St., which was contained around 8:40 p.m.
Four residents affected by that fire were issued with comfort kits, containing basic supplies such as toothbrushes and soap, and one resident received a small amount of money to purchase cleaning supplies.
