Hey SFians: jealous of the parklets you see in places like on Divis or in front of Amandeep Jawa’s home? You can turn your envy into action, as the third round of applications to request parklets is being accepted now.

So far more that 20 parklets have opened up around the city, with more in the works throughout SF. Unfortunately, not everyone can request a parklet: eligible applicants to apply for parklets include CBDs (Community Benefit Districts), storefront business owners, nonprofits and community organizers.

But don’t lose hope, as they say “other applicants will be considered on a case-by-case basis.”

Unfortunately the link to the parklet application on SF Great Streets’ site is broken as we publish this post, so if you want to apply you’ll just have to email them for one at sfpavementtoparks@sfgov.org.

The deadline to submit a parklet application is December 5 at 5pm.
