9:01 AM: A man who was fatally shot in San Francisco’s Visitacion Valley neighborhood on Wednesday evening has been identified by the medical examiner’s office as 23-year-old Bobby Jones.

The shooting was reported around 6 p.m. in the 100 block of Brookdale Avenue.

Officers responded and found Jones suffering from a gunshot wound at the rear of a home, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

While officers were investigating the shooting, they received a call from employees at San Francisco General Hospital about another shooting victim who had turned up there, according to police.

Investigators determined that the second victim, a 32-year-old man, had been shot at the same location on Brookdale Avenue.

No arrests had been made in the case as of this morning, police spokesman Officer Carlos Manfredi said.

11/2/119:48 PM: A 23-year-old man was fatally shot in San Francisco Wednesday evening, a police spokesman said.

Officers responded to the 100 block of Brookdale Avenue at around 6 p.m. and found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds at the rear of a residential unit, Sgt. Michael Andraychak said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

While officers were investigating the shooting, they received a call from hospital employees who reported that a man had walked in with gunshot wounds.

It was determined that the injured man was also shot in the 100 block of Brookdale, according to Andraychak.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information was immediately available.
