sfpd_gunpoint.jpgA woman was shot in the buttocks in San Francisco’s Western Addition neighborhood late Thursday night, police said.

The shooting was reported at 11:22 p.m. in the 1100 block of Turk Street.

The 47-year-old woman was walking on the sidewalk when she heard a gunshot and then realized she had been struck by the bullet, according to police.

The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital to be treated for her injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.

No arrests have been made and no suspect information was immediately available in connection with the shooting.
