sfpd_squad.jpgA woman was knocked unconscious during a robbery in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley neighborhood on Tuesday evening, police said.

The robbery was reported at 7:55 p.m. in the first block of Laguna Street.

The 55-year-old victim was approached by a man holding a knife, according to police.

The man knocked the woman to the ground, at which point she said she passed out. When she regained consciousness, her keys and cash were missing, police said.

The victim was taken to the University of California at San Francisco Medical Center to be treated for injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

The suspect, described as a man in his early to mid-50s, had not been arrested as of this morning, according to police.
