SFPD has arrested two suspects in an Outer Sunset shooting that killed one, they said in a statement today.
The shooting of 25-year-old Edgar Yegiyan was reported on Saturday September 17 at at 1:17 a.m. near the intersection of 35th Avenue and Rivera Street.
Officers arrived to find Yegiyan suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his torso, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Chron, Yegiyan with standing outside with two men, one a 25-year-old man, the other undescribed.
“We don’t know what their relationship is – if they were known or unknown,” SFPD spokesperson Officer Albie Esparza told the Chron at the time of the incident. “The suspect then began to shoot at the victim numerous times.”
Apparently that relationship has since been established, as with “cooperation of community members, the Homicide Detail, Violent Reduction Team and Airport Bureau,” says SFPD, they “developed leads and evidence which lead to the identity and ultimate arrest of” Konstantin Solodukhin and Oren Zakhrabov, both aged 22 and residents of San Francisco.
According to police, Solodukhin was nabbed at 2:44 PM Wednesday “inside the San Francisco International Airport terminal just hours before leaving on a one-way international flight outside of the U.S.”
Zakhrabov was arrested near his home in SOMA. Both were booked on homicide charges.
