A 5-year-old boy was left with life threatening injuries after he was hit by a private shuttle bus in San Francisco.
According to SFPD, today at 3:39 PM a mother was crossing Williams Street at 3rd Street with two children, one of whom was “trailing behind.”
According to SFPD spokesperson Sergeant Michael Andraychak, “the mother and first child made it across the street,” but a private shuttle bus that made a right turn onto 3rd Street from Williams hit the second child, a 5 year old boy.
The child, Andraychak says, “was taken to the hospital by ambulance with life threatening injuries.”
According to Andraychak, neither the shuttle bus nor its single passenger was injured, and the driver is cooperating with the investigation by SFPD’s Hit and Run Detail, “which by policy, investigates all major injury and / or fatal collisions.”
No citations or arrests were have been made, Andraychak says. He could not provide any additional details on the accident at this time.
