A man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was struck by a car while jaywalking in San Francisco’s Sunset District late Friday night, police said today.
The accident was reported at 11:02 p.m. Friday near the intersection of 19th Avenue and Lawton Street.
Police said the 22-year-old victim was jaywalking west across 19th Avenue when a vehicle traveling south struck him.
The victim suffered serious head injuries and was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, police said.
The driver of the car stopped and cooperated with police.
