As previously reported, this past Saturday night a woman was beaten and stabbed repeatedly at a party in Dolores Park by four women she didn’t know. Since then, more details in the case have emerged, and one suspect is in custody.

as Mission Local reports, 40-50 people (including the suspects and victim) were “partying” near the Church Street bridge when the 20-year-old victim accompanied a friend to the park’s bathroom at about 10 PM. She was then approached by four women who beat and stabbed her nine times, causing her to black out.

Police responding to noise complaints over the party discovered the victim, who was taken by ambulance to SF General. The party was shut down, reports the Ex.

According to the Weekly, 20-year-old Cherena Martinee-Lugo was detained in an apartment on the 2100 block of Market St. at, says ML@L around 8:15 Sunday morning.

She has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a probation violation. No reason for the attack has been given as yet.

Police say they may have recovered the knife used in the attack but are still searching for other suspects. If you have any information, call SFPD at (415) 553-1651, or on their anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444. You can also text a tip to TIP411.
