sfpd_arrestcuffs.jpgAs previously reported, Monday was hammertime for two home invaders in the 3400 block of Geary Blvd — but, now, at least one suspect has been arrested.

Two men broke down the front door of a home on 3400 block of Geary Boulevard at 1 AM Monday, and began to take items. One of the suspects encountered the resident, a 45-year-old man, and demanded money from him, according to police.

The victim began to struggle with the intruders and was hit in the head and knees several times with a hammer, police said. He was hospitalized but his injuries weren’t life-threatening, police say.

Although the suspects, a white man in his 30s and a black man in his late 40s, took three computers and a phone before fleeing, police spokesman Lt. Troy Dangerfield said on Monday the initial motive for going into the home may have been a woman.

Dangerfield said one of the suspects, the white man, and the victim apparently had dated the same woman, which might be why the police were able to track him down and, as the Ex reports, arrest a suspect in the case.

Apparently 28-year-old Denis Tseyref had dated the same woman as the victim and was, the recovering victim says, the attacker in the break-in.

Tseyref was booked on charges of home invasion burglary, assault with a deadly weapon, and false imprisonment.

“[The suspect’s] first motive was not to go in and do the robbery,” Dangerfield told the Ex.

“He broke in, assaulted the victim, then on his way out stole items.”
