Elsewhere: Dead Body at 24th and Mission Mission Mission, Man killed in fall from Mission district building Ex

Authorities are investigating the suspicious death of a man who appears to have jumped or fallen from a building in San Francisco’s Mission District tonight, a police spokesman said.

San Francisco police Officer Boaz Mariles said the man jumped or fell from the rooftop of a building at 2766 Mission St. at 7:08 p.m. He was pronounced dead at the scene and the medical examiner’s office ruled the death suspicious, Mariles said.

A woman who answered the phone at the Crystal Hotel, a residential hotel located at 2766 Mission St., said it’s not clear whether the man was staying at the hotel.

Mita Shah, who said she is the wife of a hotel manager, said, “We just heard the big noise and that’s it.”

Shah, whose husband was speaking with police officers, said the building is three stories, and that the top two are residential.

She said a crowd remained in front of the hotel at 8:15 p.m.
