sffd_firefighters.jpgSan Francisco firefighters are at the scene of a one-alarm fire in the city’s Castro District.
The fire was reported at 12:23 p.m. at a four-story building at 165 Collingwood St., between 18th and 19th streets near the Eureka Valley Recreation Center.

The blaze, which burned the building’s roof area, sent a plume of black smoke into the air.

“It was definitely a very visual fire,” San Francisco Fire Department spokeswoman Mindy Talmadge said.

Firefighters have controlled the blaze.

“They got water on the fire pretty quickly,” she said.

No injuries have been reported.
