GoldenGateBridge-001.jpg9:13 PM: The California Highway Patrol canceled a Sig-alert tonight on the Golden Gate Bridge about an hour after a multi-vehicle collision.

The Sig-alert issued at about 8:20 p.m. was canceled at around 9:05 p.m. Both the north and southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 101 on the bridge had been closed, CHP Officer Ralph Caggiano said.

Four vehicles were involved in the crash that happened in the middle of the bridge at around 8:10 p.m., he said.

An ambulance responded to the crash, he said.
