police-light-bar1.jpg11:49 AM:Crews have removed a jackknifed big rig from Interstate Highway 80 in San Francisco this morning, where it blocked three eastbound lanes for nearly four hours, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

A Safeway stores big rig crashed at about 8:10 p.m. on an eastbound approach to the Bay Bridge just west of First Street, CHP Officer Eric Anderson said.

The driver suffered minor lacerations to the face, Anderson said.

No other vehicles appeared to be involved in the crash.

The truck and trailer were cleared from the roadway at about 11:30 a.m., and Caltrans crews remained at the scene to clean up a fuel leak.

A Sig-alert was issued at 8:29 a.m. and will remain in effect until the fuel cleanup is finished, which is expected to last until about noon.

9:55 AM: A jackknifed big rig is blocking three lanes of traffic on eastbound Interstate 80 in San Francisco this morning, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

No injuries have been reported, Bartlett said.

Caltrans crews have been dispatched to the scene of the crash to contain leaking fuel.

A Sig-alert was issued at 8:29 a.m. and will remain in effect until the crash is cleared, which is expected to take at least another hour.
