Don't Freak: F-18 Fighters Scheduled To Fly Over SF Today
Don't worry, it's not end times -- if you see or hear what looks like military planes doing military stuff this afternoon, it's all been planned, or so we've been told.
The Federal Aviation Administration is warning San Franciscans that two F-18 fighter jets will be doing practice military maneuvers between the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges Thursday afternoon, from 2:30 to 3.
You might recognize the notoriously loud planes (see the video above) as what Owen Wilson crashed behind enemy lines in, uh, Behind Enemy Lines, or as part of the Blue Angels.
In any case, no need to get worried, the planes' flight is all planned, we've been told. You'll just have to wait for another day to live out your Red Dawnesque contingency plan.
