shooting_nighttime.jpgPolice arrested two men suspected of shooting another man in San Francisco's Mission District early this morning, a police sergeant said.

At 12:52 a.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting at the corner of South Van Ness Avenue and 26th Street, where they found a man who had been shot three times, police spokesman Sgt. Michael Andraychak said.

The victim's injuries are believed to be non-life threatening, Andraychak said.

A vehicle that was seen leaving the area--a two-door Pontiac--was stopped nearby a short while later.

Police arrested two men who were traveling in the car after determining they matched suspect descriptions provided by witnesses, Andraychak said.

The names of the two 20-year-old suspects--one from San Francisco and the other from Daly City--have not yet been released by police.

Andraychak said the Pontiac was impounded by police.
