taxi.jpgWith recent increases in panda headed crowds, running-on-adrenaline at AT&T Park, the SF Municipal Transportation Agency has decided to move forward with creating another temporary cabstand, at the request of Luxor Cab Company .

Cab drivers didn’t believe that the nearby, existing cab waiting zones, on Second and King, Fourth and Townsend, and Second and Brannan, would be enough to handle the crowds brought on by Championship Series — and, apparently, the SFMTA’s concurred.

Although Muni riders still might have to throw ‘bows to gain access to the unbelievably crowded N or T lines to make their way out of the sea of orange and black, officials are hoping the new cabstand at Third and King Streets is expected to make cab accessibility easier for Giants fans, both young and old.

So there we have it, Giants fans. Door to door access to your favorite post-Giants game bar for some celebratory drinks, or better yet, a ride home so you can quickly change your Facebook profile picture to one of Tim Lincecum.

And you wore your panda hat to bed to fend off SF’s recent cold chill? Your secret is safe with us.
